Protecting
Family Values

The greatest threat to affordability in our community is the out of control and suffocating property insurance premiums on working families trying to build their American dream. We must lower property insurance. It is disheartening to witness property insurance premiums skyrocket, or worse yet, be left without coverage altogether.
It's unacceptable that in some cases families pay more for insurance than their current mortgage. That is why I'll work tirelessly to lower property insurance rates in Florida and bring accountability to the system. Together, we can make a difference and provide relief to one of the biggest challenges Florida families face.
parental rights

Have you ever purchased a home in Florida only to find out a year or two later that the taxes have doubled or even tripled? This is a common issue, especially for investors who plan to rent out their properties and then pass on these high tax increases to working-class families.
This situation only makes it harder for people to afford homes and achieve the American Dream. I am determined to put a cap on the rate increase of assessed values for non-homestead properties, property transfers, and extend homestead exemptions. Homeownership is a vital part of the American Dream, and I am committed to preserving and protecting our biggest investment.
One of the reforms I will propose as your next State Senator is the abuse of HOA fines. Current state statues allow for a daily fine that can quickly add up and place a lien on your home!
I propose that the language converts to a monthly fine, just like any other late payment. If a monthly late fee is good enough for you mortgage lender, it should be good enough for you HOA.
Let's work together to stop the abuse by HOA boards.
Our Homes are worth protecting.
SMALL BUSINESS

As your next State Senator, my priority is clear: when proposing or listening to new ideas, they must be based on this one simple concept: Is this helping Floridians achieve the American Dream or is this a barrier to it? If the regulation is outdated, places an undue burden on our small businesses, or simply adds to unnecessary red tape - then it must be eliminated.

The same goes for wasteful government spending.
Appropriations must be specific, directly tied to what the government is responsible for doing, and strategically advance our ultimate goal of helping Floridians achieve the American Dream.

Shapings minds, not molding them.
Investing in world-class education is crucial for the future of Florida. Frankly, our children deserve nothing less! We know what leads to better educational outcomes for our kids: start early by expanding VPK and pre-kindergarten programs, focus on literacy, and empower parents with more options when it comes to their child’s education. We can continue to support our students through high school by educating them on all their options upon graduation, including robust career and technical education. If we focus on what we know works, Florida’s workforce will be second to none.
